UPDATE - April 5th
As part of the Department for Education’s Green Paper on the Special Educational Needs Disabilities (SEND) and Alternative Provision (AP) system a consultation period is now open until July 1st.
Many constituents have raised concerns with me around SEND provision here in Leicestershire, why is why I’m really pleased the Government has brought forward the green paper to try and deal with some of these issues.
Now is the chance to have your say. Complete the consultation here: SEND Review: Right support, right place, right time - Department for Education - Citizen Space.

Many local parents have come to me recently about their fight for support with special educational needs in Leicestershire.
I am pleased to welcome the Government's long awaited plans to improve SEND provision. Yesterday I asked the Secretary of State for Education Nadhim Zahawi MP how the system will benefit parents and whether Leicestershire will be in line for further special and alternative provision free schools.
