Before I became an MP I was a Junior Doctor and a GP, where when I questioned why things were done a certain way I'd be told 'you're too junior' or 'this is the way we've always done things.'
So I was really pleased to see the previous Government commit to fully funding the NHS' £3.4 billion Productivity Plan that I had been campaigning for, which will help with everything from updating IT equipment to improving communications between hospitals and GP’s.
This week I followed up with the new Government to see if they will commit to the Productivity Plan and will continue to work on this.
