What are your views on childcare provision? Whether you are a parent, grandparent or work in the field, I would love to know your thoughts!
Access to affordable and high-quality childcare empowers parents to make the choice that is best for them – whether that's returning to work or staying at home.
For too many parents, the cost of childcare makes that choice impossible and that's why the Government is introducing a better deal for families.
Right now, working parents of three- and four-year-olds are eligible for 30 hours of funded childcare per week. But we're going further.
We're DOUBLING the total amount of funded childcare, so each week kids will get 30 hours of funded childcare from the time they're nine months old to the time they start school.
This will lower bills for families and - importantly - restore choice to parents.
On top of this, to ensure more parents keep their child benefits and end the unfairness for single-earner families, we're moving towards a household system. The Government has raised the Child Benefit threshold from £50,000 to £60,000 this April, so parents never have to choose between work and childcare.
This is real progress, but I want to know if YOU support it.
So please take a moment to fill in this short survey and share your priorities for childcare and for the country.
