Today I was pleased to have been invited to the Prime Minister’s speech on Artificial Intelligence as he announced the first ever AI Safety Institute to explore and understand the impact of AI.
Last year I gave the first (that we know of!) AI-authored speech in the House of Commons to raise awareness around the need for regulation as technological advancements are made every day.
It is vital that whenever and wherever AI is put to use in the UK, it is done so safely and responsibly.
As the Prime Minister said, the future of AI is safe AI.
