Yesterday evening I spoke in the Commons Debate on the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill, raising points around calls for the opening of safe and legal routes and the need for Parliament to vote on how many asylum seekers the UK will welcome each year to be based on information gathered from Local Authorities.
