This week is carers week, so it was a particular delight to welcome Time Out for Carers - a fantastic group from our area who meet regularly in Earl Shilton - down to Westminster!
I was pleased they enjoyed their tour of Parliament, but even more importantly we discussed support for unpaid carers.
This year there’s been a particular focus on young carers and I welcome news that there is to be a parliamentary inquiry into how caring responsibilities affect the lives of children and young people.
I visited the group earlier this year after they received £2,000 funding following my nomination for their hard work. You can read more about this money and how the group plan to use it here: Bosworth’s MP visits Time Out for Carers following funding award | Dr Luke Evans MP
