As promised, I wanted to keep you all posted about two projects I have been working on; the £24 million Community Diagnostic Centre at Hinckley Hospital and the £19.9 million National Science and Conservation Centre at Twycross Zoo!
Pleased to share that both projects have been given the green light by the Planning Department, meaning work can start imminently!
If you hadn't heard, the physiotherapy units at the Hinckley and District Hospital site on Mount Road were recently demolished to make way for the £24m testing unit, which will bring thousands more tests per year to our area!
Facilities at the CDC will include MRI and CT scans, X-Rays, ultrasounds and blood testing. You can read more about it here: Demolition paves way for £24m Hinckley Hospital testing unit | Dr Luke Evans MP
The Conservation Centre at Twycross Zoo will be a phenomenal boost to local tourism and bring jobs to our area, not to mention training opportunities for the next generation of conservationists and animal experts.
I know how much this means to the team at Twycross Zoo who will be leading the way on the UK's conservation efforts!
