As a GP, before becoming your MP, I saw first hand the time that was taken up by people who did not attend appointments with either their GP or a nurse.
Recent data from Heath Lane Surgery, in Earl Shilton, shows that between 20th November - 24th November 69 appointments were marked as not attended, totalling 12 hours worth of missed working time.
I asked the Secretary of State for Health, Victoria Atkins, what the Government is doing to address this and whether she had thought of introducing statementing, which would would show patients how much this actually costs.
