Given the importance of the logistics sector to our area, and our local economy, I've been keen to continue working to help resolve the HGV driver shortage. Having met DPD in Hinckley last month, I was keen to raise the issue with the Transport Secretary in Parliament on Monday. I've also met industry leaders, raised the quality of facilities for HGV drivers and written to various Ministers in Government regarding the issue.
