Really pleased Governments across the world are spotting just how fast AI is developing, both in terms of opportunities and risks. In December I became the first MP (that we know of!) to give an AI-authored speech in the Commons, during which I called for regulation.
Today I asked what is being done to pull global Governments together and learn that the UK is hosting the first global summit on AI later this year.
Advancements are happening every day so it's vital we take this opportunity to work swiftly and shrewdly, I'm pleased to see the UK will be holding the first global summit on AI to do just this.
