Yesterday I spoke in a debate on the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill about the progress the Government has made to reduce small boat crossings across the Channel by 36% last year, the importance of cracking down on people smuggling gangs and why Government must be innovative to tackle illegal immigration - with plans like the Rwanda Partnership, which we are seeing European countries exploring options for.
