Great to visit St Mary's Primary School in Hinckley recently for a Q&A session with pupils on the School Parliament, they asked a range of questions such as why I became an MP and what life has been like since I was elected in 2019.
Pupils on the School Parliament were elected by their classmates to represent them and we discussed similarities with how each constituency elects a representative to send to Westminster.
It was a pleasure to see so many engaged students and to catch up with the Headteacher, Mrs Ayres. Thank you for inviting me!
