When I was working in the NHS and questioned why things were done a certain way I'd be told 'you're too junior' or 'this is the way we've always done things' so I'm really pleased to see the Government has fully funded the NHS' £3.4 billion Productivity Plan which will help with everything from updating IT equipment to improving communications between hospitals and GP’s.
The over £6bn of additional funding announced by the Chancellor in the Spring Budget last week will go a long way towards improving patient journeys and the working life of NHS staff.
Today I asked the Leader of the Commons, Penny Mordaunt, for a debate in Government time.
