Bosworth MP Dr Luke Evans today welcomed the Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Cabinet Ministers Robert Jenrick MP and Amanda Milling MP to Hinckley as each took part in the prestigious Conservative Councillors Association annual conference held at the Jury’s Inn Hinckley Island Hotel.
The Prime Minister was paying a flying visit to the conference on his way back from shadowing a night shift at a nearby hospital but spared some time to discuss pressing issues for the constituency.
Dr Luke said “It’s a real privilege to welcome the Prime Minister to Hinckley, even if it is just for a short while.
“I never miss out on the opportunity though to push the case for fairer funding for Leicestershire and the need for improvements to the A5, and today was no different.
“It’s fair to say that the PM had a detailed knowledge of the importance of the A5 as a major artery and I am sure will he will be mindful of the importance of improving it in the future.”
